The Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve recently launched a Pre-Recruitment Training Program aimed at empowering youth from the buffer zone villages. This initiative was designed to prepare local aspirants for recruitment exams in forestry, police, and other administrative services, providing them with a strong foundation for a brighter future.

In collaboration with Speed Academy, Chandrapur , the program was rolled out across all seven buffer ranges, drawing participation from nearly 1,000 young individuals, including a noteworthy number of young women from 95 surrounding villages.

Key Objectives :

  • Equip youth with skills and guidance to excel in competitive recruitment exams
  • Foster employment opportunities and long-term livelihood enhancement
  • Strengthen positive community engagement with the Forest Department
  • Promote conservation awareness to help reduce human-wildlife conflict

This initiative not only supports career development but also nurtures a sense of stewardship and collaboration between the local communities and forest authorities—an essential step towards sustainable coexistence with the wild.
