How it Works :

  • One-month training in:
    • Identifying invasive weeds
    • Safe removal techniques
  • Participants are employed for eco-restoration of wetlands

Impact So Far :

  • Phase 1 (2022–23): 35 women from Chandrapur buffer range
  • Phase 2 (2024–25): 50 women actively involved
  • Women earn livelihoods while contributing to biodiversity protection

Why it Matters :

  • Boosts financial independence for rural women
  • Improves wetland health and habitat quality for native species
  • Encourages coexistence between communities and wildlife
  • Tackles climate resilience and ecosystem restoration

This project is a powerful step toward sustainable development, creating a win-win for people and nature in the Tadoba landscape.
