The Women Driving Program, launched in the buffer zones of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR), empowers local women by opening doors to careers in eco-tourism and wildlife services.

Program Highlights

  • Launched in: Buffer zones of TATR
  • Participants: 63 women from four forest ranges:
    • Tadoba
    • Palsgava
    • Moharli (Buffer)
    • Khadsangi

Core Objective :

  • Equip women with professional driving skills
  • Create alternative livelihood opportunities through eco-tourism
  • Enable employment in government, semi-government, and private sectors
  • Promote gender equality and financial independence

Beyond Driving :

  • Builds confidence, discipline, and self-reliance
  • Encourages professional growth in wildlife-linked careers
  • Enhances family incomes and living standards
  • Encourages local role models for future generations
