The Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) runs the Youths Sensitisation Program to promote awareness, safety, and employment readiness among young people in the buffer zone.

Program Goals :

  • Reduce human–wildlife conflict through awareness
  • Share free skill–training opportunities offered by TATR
  • Strengthen community engagement in forest conservation

Key Highlights :

  • 2720 youth participants from 77 buffer villages
  • Regular community meetings for dialogue and awareness
  • Focus on wildlife behaviour and safety protocols for:
    • Tigers
    • Leopards
    • Bears
    • Snakes

Training Opportunities Promoted :

  • Hospitality Management
  • Solar LED & Home Appliance Repair
  • Pre-Recruitment Training for government roles

Why It Matters :

  • Encourages youth participation in eco-tourism and conservation
  • Reduces dependency on forest resources
  • Empowers youth with job-ready skills
  • Builds a cooperative relationship between locals and forest authorities

By educating and involving the youth, TATR is building a generation that not only understands wildlife but actively participates in protecting it—securing both livelihoods and landscapes for the future.
